You have apparently used the KVM to install ProxMox.
We do not support ProxMox for the very reason you are having issue(s), it is an
unreliable OS with unpredictable hardware driver problems.
Your server is unmanaged and this is clearly not a hardware related issue.
I would suggest ESXI or XENserver.
You had a perfectly operating Debian install.
